Using Design Thinking to transform teams and modernize applications.

Surround Sight Consulting advocates for and practices IBM Enterprise Design Thinking, and the design principles of being human focused, and leveraging the value of diversity. These principles, starting and finishing with the people and finding value in diversity, drive more than how a workshop is run or how prototyping is done. These are the core of Surround Sight’s philosophy and how I do business. I’m here to help you build a diverse team and find a 360° view of a problem to find innovative solutions. I want to show you how your team can surround your problems and provide you the insight needed to find new and innovative ideas.

Surround Sight consulting was introduced to help small to medium sized IT shops, that have the potential to become large players, succeed. Cloud Native organizations have literally changed everything about how software is designed, built, and run, finding new and innovate solutions to long standing problems. These changes however, have not yet reached many of the legacy systems that were built with monolithic architectures. Even those attempting to implement modern architectures find that the promised improvements have failed to materialize. There are many different components to Cloud Native approaches, and dependencies are not always obvious. I have built monolithic solutions, studied these new innovations, and helped teams successfully adopt design thinking and microservice architectures. I can help you to understand this disruption, and figure out which of those components can be applied to your situation. If you are curious how a design thinking, cloud native approach can help solve your biggest IT challenges reach out and schedule a call to discuss how Surround Sight can help.

My pledge to you: Value and Transparency. The value you receive from my services will exceed the cost, or I’ll refund the difference. Transparency in all of our interactions, there is no sales team, and no secret sauce. I trade in well proven engineering practices that put people first.

My background: My experience in software engineering has deep roots that reach all the way back to computing on punch cards. Having a view of the multitude of evolutionary advances in our industry over the last half century gives me a relatively unique perspective in an industry that is undergoing disruption, and growing new talent at an amazing rate.
