Cracking the LinkedIn algorithm

How to help a friends post get more impressions

What is the best way to help a friends post get more impressions? I wish I knew for sure, but I’ve got a hypothesis. I will be conducting a simple LinkedIn experiment from November 11 through November 30, 2022. I will make three posts at 4:30 PM on a Friday, and ask for exclusively Likes, Comments, and Reposts to see how many I get and what impact the different things had on impressions. I will update this blog post on December 1st with the results.

Likes Only on this Post: - 4 Likes, 132 impressions

Comments Only on this Post: - 1 Comment 91 impressions

Repost Only on this Post: - 1 Repost, 65 impressions

Updates: I’ve posted the outcomes above, and I think the experiment was flawed in a number of ways. Firstly, I don’t have much of a reach to begin with, so results may vary widely. I also think that posting pretty much the same text and link three times back-to-back is probably negatively impacting ranking algorithms. I may try to come up with another experiment in January.
